Welcome from our Pastor
A very warm welcome to Holy Spirit Church!
Holy Spirit Parish is a generous and dedicated community of faith. We celebrate the sacraments with enthusiasm and commitment. We share willingly our gifts of time, talent, and financial resources to enable many ministries that make the Body of Christ a visible and effective presence in our world.
Today, our parish community has grown from a few hundred members to more than 5000 families, and we continue to grow.
We are a multicultural parish incorporating people of many heritages. We are committed to building up the Body of Christ as part of the Church of the Diocese of Oakland, and as part of the larger Roman Catholic Church.
Holy Spirit is an amazing parish and I look forward to meeting you personally and I will be more than delighted if you join us in celebrating the Holy Eucharist.
And as our mission statement says: “Be Spirit Filled and Make Disciples!”
Peace and Blessings,
Fr. Ken, Pastor
A Return to the Eucharist
Dear Parishioners,
In his latest pastoral letter – HOW COULD ANYONE STAY AWAY? A RETURN TO THE EUCHARIST – Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ invites all the faithful to come back to Mass.
He writes, “When people ask, ‘Why should we go to Mass?’ I answer, ‘Because Jesus is waiting for you there in the Church, and He wants to be with you – right there – in the Holy Eucharist.’ It is about a personal encounter with Jesus that we have as individuals AND as a community, in the celebration of the Mass.”

Holy Spirit Parish Prayer
We hope you will pray fervently with us.
Heavenly Father, you have gathered us together as the Body of Christ, to be Your visible light in our world.
Here we unite in worship, proclaim Your Word, celebrate the Eucharist, and are sent out to share Your love.
Lord, open our hearts, to be filled with the Holy Spirit and inspire us to go and make disciples. Make us a community united in faith, mission, and service.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, may Christ be present to us, as we make Christ present to the world.
Amen.
