Our pastor, Fr Ken Sales, requests all ministries to begin and end their meeting in prayer. At the start of every meeting, please pause to reflect on the beautiful mystery of the Incarnation by praying the Angelus and end each meeting with our Parish Prayer.
Angelus & Parish PrayerService and Outreach ministries provide opportunities for Parishioners to share their time and talent to better our parish and the greater community.
Prepare meals (mostly lunch) during the week, on an assigned day, for the residents (and staff) of the Abode Homeless Shelter.
Our Deanery sponsors a non-denominational bereavement group, which meets for the spiritual and emotional support of individuals who have suffered a life-changing event.

We set up and take down the Christmas Creche. Due to the nature of construction and equipment, volunteers are adults.
We provide an opportunity for the public to drive, bike or walk to the designated (exterior) station to request prayers for their personal intentions.
We trim and maintain all shrubs around the parish; water and maintain the landscape around the Parish Center area.
A Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to charitable service, spiritual development and financial protection.
We knit and crochet items to donate to Share Christmas and other charitable organizations, while sale proceeds benefit Holy Spirit School Scholarship Fund.
We lend out spiritual books, CDs and DVDs on the Bible, the Catechism, Marian apparitions, spirituality, and so much more.
The priest along with volunteers care for the spiritual needs of the senior community by celebrating Mass in the nursing home and visiting with senior patients.
Promote the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death through education, communication, & prayer.
A Christian marriage program, Catholic in origin, that helps married couples facing difficult challenges in their relationship.
We gather for fellowship and to make rosaries for the Faith Formation students.
We distribute gifts to underprivileged shut-ins, individuals in convalescent hospitals and other groups in need.
Coordinate annual series of nine-day (Novena) of Masses beginning on December 16 through December 24; participate in liturgy and/or breakfast fellowship.

We are pen pals to men mainly on death row; provide kinship, spiritual support, and unconditional love through letter-writing and visitations.
Rooted in Catholic Social Teachings, this ministry aims to educate parishioners on the tenets of our faith, provide “hands-on” opportunities for action and coordinate special parish social initiatives.
A youth-driven prayer and service ministry to aid the poor, needy and vulnerable as St. Queen Isabel did on earth.
Provide assistance to those in need through person-to-person contact and collective action guided by Vincentian principles of fellowship and individual spiritual growth.
Provide prayerful and loving assistance to parishioners who mourn the loss of a loved one; provide hospitality; and assist with funeral rites and liturgy planning so as to ensure that the liturgy is carried out with reverence.
We serve a nutritious meal to any homeless or needy person in our community every Saturday morning in the Peace center.
Women deepen their spirituality and faith through fellowship and service.
Catechetical ministries offer learning and formation experiences for all ages.
Support the faithful 18 years and older seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Present the person of Christ to everyone, Christian or not; inviting others to enter into a personal relationship with Christ, Lord and Savior.
Support the faithful seeking to know about their Holy Spirit given charisms.
Engage children as young as three years old with age-appropriate, hands-on materials that are based on Sacred Scripture and the Liturgy.
Youth K-4th grade discuss the Sunday Gospel during the 9am and 10:45am Mass.
Support families with collaborative sacramental formation to children.
Bring teens into a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Assist parents and godparents in preparation for the Sacrament of Baptism of their newborn and/or preschool-aged children.

Support the faith of parents, family and young ladies who celebrate their traditional Latino custom of a Thanksgiving Mass and a joyful party here at Holy Spirit.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - we support adults to become Catholic or complete their Sacraments of Initiation.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Children - inspire parents and their children to receive the Sacraments of Initiation.
Support the faithful looking for a more profound and reflective relationship with the person of Christ.

Once a year, on or near the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we walk through San Francisco to peacefully protest abortion.
Liturgical ministries assist in making our regular and special Masses and celebrations successful.
Adults or children who assist the clergy during Mass. Please specify which group you belong to for proper assignment.
Care for the altar linens and upkeep of sanctuary.
Prepare the church for each liturgical season: Advent, Christmas, Ordinary Time, Lent & Easter.
Support all aspects of the audio-visual components during the Mass. (paid position)
We are lay parishioners who serve as extraordinary ministers (EMs) during Communion at Mass. Please inquire for requirements.
We are lay parishioners who serve as extraordinary ministers (EMs) for the sick and homebound. Please inquire for requirements.
Greet & assist parishioners as they enter into the church.
Proclaim the sacred scripture during Mass. Please inquire for requirements.
We invite musicians as well as vocalists to join our choir.
Duties include, but not limited to, care of the sacred vessels, vestments, sacramentals, etc, in the church.
Greet and assist church attendees and pay close attention to those with special needs.
Prayer ministries provide opportunities for people to get together to pray either in a specific way or for specific intentions.
Spend the day in prayer and intercession for anything you believe that God is calling you to do.
Spend time with Jesus in our Adoration Chapel in the Governo House—open daily from 6am to 9pm.
We pray, sing and worship God in the Adoration Chapel.
Meet to pray, read the Diary of St. Faustina, and discuss ways to spread the Divine Mercy Devotion and perform works of mercy in our community.
Give glory to God through prayer and through active cooperation with Mary and with the Church by visiting the sick and homebound.
Meet in the adoration chapel in front of the Blessed Sacrament; pray the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the Blessed Mother's intentions.
We celebrate the Mass with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosary every 13th of the month from May to October.
Lay persons who live out their Catholic faith by freely committing themselves to follow Jesus Christ according to the charism, traditions and spirit of Carmel under the authority of the Carmelite Order.
We celebrate the Mass with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Novena every Wednesday.
Pray the rosary daily after the 8:15 am mass.
We meet once a year at Holy Spirit Parish on the second Saturday night in December.
Parishioners will host the Vocations Crucifix for two weeks and pray daily for the men and women discerning to enter the priesthood or religious life.
Hospitality ministries provide opportunities for specific cultural, age, and special interest groups to gather and bring people together for fellowship, fun, food, and outreach projects.
BSA Troup 154 has been chartered at Holy Spirit since 1984. Scouts participate in many activities during the year: overnight camping, hikes, Summer Camp, conservation and community service projects and Scouting for Food. See fremont154.mytroop.us.
Cub Scouting is for boys between the 1st & 5th grades. Supervised activities build character, improve physical fitness, which teaches practical skills and community services. Scouts are taught to do their best and help others, while experiencing a variety of adventures, activities and having fun.
This after-school sports program is open to boys and girls in grades K-8 who live within the parish boundaries. Sports include basketball, volleyball, Cross Country, Track & Field, and more.
Facilitators will be provided with training and presentation material to guide engaged couples in honest dialogue about their prospective lives together.
A non-profit charitable ministry that brings together parishioners, especially with Filipino ancestry, to serve in a variety of capacities at the parish.
Assist the public in their purchase of religious art, books, gifts, jewelry, etc., in our parish gift shop.
We are a prayerful community that assists the parish in its various projects by raising funds and serving in events.
Serve the parishioners, clergy, and staff as well as support the general public in the Parish Office.
Serve a monthly brunch to seniors immediately following the Anointing of the Sick Mass.
We support the devotees of Our Lady of Guadalupe by forming them liturgically and praying the rosary every month.
Direct the flow of traffic and ensure the safety of all people while providing a warm and welcoming environment.
Welcome new parishioners and invite them to participate in the life the parish.
